I'm looking for people's favorite news sites. I'm looking for a digest-type site, like http://news.google.com, only without every other link coming from a communist-run news source.

What's your favorite?

Even if it isn't the digest-type.

OSNN? :p .. read a bit of /. and just regular news sites as well. (sorry I'm lame) :D

there is no substitute to osnn...

all the others are lamers and wannabe's...

Well, I mean for general world news. I like OSNNs tech news.

i know this isnt about the topic but how come all of a sudden people r talkin on here...just a hour ago nobody was here

Just my opinion but it seems like these reporters never learned: if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Look in your newspaper for good news and you'll see what I mean. The world is a beautiful place, despite what your newspaper says. For all the bad things that are reported, dozens of good things happen that are just as interesting and entertaining as the bad.

You might try here for all your news information; I know I use a couple of the sites listed on that page that are quite useful. I'm sure some of them will be the type of news your after in a digest format.

The Daily Rotation is handy too.

remember the number one rule of the news: If it bleeds, it leads.

It's actually kinda sad.

I would say this is more true in the US then anywhere else in the world. ;)

We were one hop away from news.google.com the other day.
I told Michael from hardwaregeeks about the service pack 2 on wu5, so we got credit over there, then google linked to their article. Next stop, the world!! Bwhahaah.

Skip the foreplay tho

Only tabloid worth reading is the daily sport! Sunday paper the Sunday sport.

I usually don't buy papers I find them left on the train.

Get a good RSS news aggregator, pick up a couple news feeds (Reuters, OSNN, /., BBC, CNN, NewsForge, ThinkGeek, etc.. etc..) and you can create your own "best" news source..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
