best cpu for my asus board question

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out what is the biggest cpu I can use on my ASUS M2A-VM mobo.

On the ASUS site, it says I can use any Phenom, but then It says further down that it can take only dual core cpus.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.........

You probably need to update the BIOS/firmware to the latest processor support. It will support up to FX CPUs and having the latest BIOS update usually allows it to support higher clockspeeds.
