I'm looking to buy a wireless router, but I'd like to know which one is the best out there. I want one that is really heavy on security, as in ones with high encryption and can let you turn off your SSID.

I was looking at the Netgear WGR-614, because it also had a 4-port switch. Is this a good one, or are there better ones?

There are alot out there, i usually only deal with cisco kit, so cant really tell you the best one.

You should be looking for one that supports WPA encryption. Maybe MAC address or Leap authentication.

You can tie most down by adding clients mac address into the table and refuse all others.

well my friend has this one and its amazing. the linksys one dont remmber the exact model but its amzing from best buy like 150 dollars

I like Linksys. Cisco stuff is nice, but unless you have a LOT of monrey to burn, go with Linksys.
