well put it this why when a checked a few course there was design with adobe, and website design - it didnt say with what tools, but i was looking at the html course anyway so could do all 3 and be covered

I've only ever seen *design* being taught at universities.

I use Paint Shop Pro as I found Photoshop too expensive for my needs.

There are web design courses at the colleges around my area. Never in or around the same graphic design type programs. They are different in many ways.

The student pricing is a bit cheaper. The Photoshop CS3 Extended Edition at my university is about $350.

You know you have to show your id, plus like 20 other things to prove you are a student right.

I guess it's good that I have not gone yet. Since it's around the right time for me to be going. Not going back ahhaha

Should be going to College this September if all works out. Otherwise later on. I will then also be picking up the student version of the Master Collection. I will finally have a legit copy of the Adobe products. Makes me feel good.
