I just caught up with last weeks episode you know, the one where
Kara dies!

She's a Cylon?!

I gotta hand it to the writers...I didn't see that one coming :D This show is awesome!

Awesome. We needed a BSG thread. :D

Yeah. That's my guess too. :)
I haven't watched tonight's episode, by the way, so I don't know if they've revealed anything else about that yet.

Actually, I think I'm going to go watch tonight's episode now. It's waiting downstairs on the DVR for me. :D

I've been keeping up with this one too. I need to get the latest ep though.

Loving this series and have 2 more episodes to watch at some point :)

That finale was very entertaining. The cliffhanger, not so much :(

And read this:

Season 4 episodes to air in Jan. 2008; movie to air in Q4 '07 (updated 3/22/07)

The Sci Fi Channel announced the order for a 4th season of Battlestar Galactica on Tuesday, Feburary 13th. The initial order is for 13 episodes, the 1st of which will premiere in January 2008.

It's possible that Season 4 will include 20 episodes or even 22 episodes, according to SyFy Portal. Season 2 included 20 episodes as will Season 3. Season 1 only had 13 episodes.

It appears that Ronald Moore and David Eick will be able to produce the DVD movie after all. The movie is expected to be released in DVD format at first. It could air on the Sci Fi Channel after that. (Many of the "original movies" on the Sci Fi Channel were actually released on home video and DVD well before their premieres on Sci Fi.)

A January start date for Season 4 will avoid the heavy competition from the fall network line-ups.

UPDATE (3/22/07): Season 4 will now include 20 regular episodes and a special 2-hr. movie, according to Sci Fi Wire. The movie will air in the 4th quarter of 2007. Afterward, the movie will be available on DVD. The first regular episodes of Season 4 will air in January 2008. No word on when the Season 3 DVD set would be released.

Sooo many questions. Q4 is too far away :(

Oh damn. That was an awesome season finale. :D
The next season is so far away. Gah!

So I was thinking...

...if Tyrol is a cylon, shouldn't his kid be a hybrid like Hera too?

Yup. Changes everything eh? Here's what I've been thinking: what if Hera isn't that important, but it's Tyrol's kid that in all those dreams that happen in that weird room?

So who is the 5th Cylon? Lee? The President?

Damn it. I don't want to wait till the end of the year.

I can't wait for season 4 of BSG!! =D

On a side note: Gah, the spoilers and their spoiling xD

Battlestar Galactica is ending after season 4..

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2007/05/say_it_aint_fra.html

Sad but true: "Battlestar Galactica" will end its run next year after its fourth and final season.

After weeks of speculation, the end is in fact near. According to a high level source at Sci Fi Channel parent company NBC Universal, the show will dock after its next 22-episode season, slated to kick off in early 2008.

Sources say the decision came down from executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, who are said to feel creatively like this upcoming arc will be its last.

Rumors began circulating this month when two "Battlestar Galactica" stars, Edward James Olmos and Katee Sackhoff, referred to the next season as the show's swan song while attending the annual Saturn Awards.

“It’s the final season, so it’s definitely going to be the most vicious,” Olmos told reporters. “As far as we know, in respects of the way we have this show constructed, this is the final season.”

Sci Fi Channel is expected to announce the news as soon as this afternoon.

UPDATE: Minutes after this was posted, Sci Fi Channel sent us the press release confirming the show is ending. See what Eick and Moore have to say after the jump...
"This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and finally, an end. Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end and we've decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms," Eick and Moore said in the statement. "And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there –- we're going out with a bang .

hey fitz, read the post by me a bit higher up in this thread ;p

I'm a little confused to be honest, your posts above talk about season 4 and the DVD/movie release.

I was talking the end/cancellation of the series after season 4..
