how to i write a batch file to delete a certain bunch of images
for example

if i have files labled car01.jpg through car10.jpg
and then i have another set called car01.thumb.jpg through car10.thumb.jpg then how can i delete the second set....i want to delete all the files that are labled with the .thumb.jpg ending.

go to the directory with your command prompt. then execute this command: "del *.thumb.jpg" (without the quotes).
To create a batchfile, open notepad and put the command in the file and an "exit", it looks like this:
del *.thumb.jpg
exit
Save it as a .bat (=batch) file and place it in the same directory as the files. Now you can doubleclick the file and a command prompt will popup, deletes the files and exits automatically.

heh...im so rusty
i knew it was simple...i feel retarded now :p

LOL, sometimes you don't see the simplest things, I am having trouble with that too :)

me too, didn't see my feet earlier, tripped over them. Weird

well my dog had a smug look on its face....

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
