Hey guys i noticed barebone kits at tiger direct, do they install the motherboard for you, or are all the parts separate. I'm trying to find a retailer who will see me the motherboard and cpu already installed and I just add other components.

I wouldn't recommend a TD barebones kit.

1) the cases/PSU's are normally subpar
2) seems they try to dump older CPU's in barebones kits to get rid of them
3) nothing comes pre-assembled (would you really want a board shipped with the HSF installed anyway?)

I agree with dreamliner. Get the kit peaces yourself and do the research before you buy the stuff.

I actually get the barebones setups for the office here. They're great for quick workstation turnaround when one fails. Got a pile of them sitting around here.

Wouldn't use them at home though, because of the previous generation equipment they put inside them.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
