i am running windows xp pro,i want to create an image of my entire hard drive, and save it to my second hard drive.problem is i dont have a floppy on my system,so was wondering which program if there is one out there, that would restore the image without the need to use a floppy.

PowerQuest DriveImage 2002 can restore the image without a floppy drive. You just use the Windows interface to select the image file that you want to restore, and it reboots to perform the restore operation.
I've used it a couple of times on my laptop which doesn't have a floppy drive.

Same goes for Norton Ghost which I'm happily using to do imaging. This program has saved me hours of formatting and reinstalling everything over again.

Exactly. :)
With two CDs, the recovery process takes less than 20 minutes, and saves you from Windows activation as well.

I personally like Drive Image too. I use DI2002, but I'd like to get version 7. The new version lets you create the image even while in windows. If the disk dies, you just boot from CD and restore your image. It now supports USB and Network drives.

Yeah, yeah, I know Norton Ghost probably does all that too, I just like DI. :)

Yep, should be nice to be able to create images within Windows itself :)

People forget Acronis Tru Image, which in my opinion is better than Ghost/ Drive Image.
Uses bootable CD for reinstalling any image, and itscheaper than the other two.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
