Backup feature built into XP.. question...

Hi everyone,

I would like to backup my data using the included backup feature in XP (pro). I have two hards drives, and would like to use my slave drive, D, as the drive to back the files up to, however, the only option the drop down box gives me is to save to my floppy drive. Anyone know how I can get the backup to save to my D drive opposed to A?

Thanks,

Steve

It's been awhile since I looked at the built-in backup but there should be a browse button so you can choose where you want to backup to.

When you start backup. go to advanced mode, then choose the backup tab. At the bottom you can select the drive to backup to.
I just tested it and it works like a charm.
My problem is that i SEEM to backup stuff, but when i want to restore, there are no files, only directories. Weeiirrdd..

Anyway, good luck!

thanks for your help guys... I am going to test it out now. I heard that it has a feature where the next time you back up the same folders it only adds the new stuff... any truth to this?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
