available wallpaper list

Every time I save a graphic to my hard drive, Win. XP home ed. kindly adds it to the list of available wallpapers. The said list is growing alarmingly. Please could anyone tell me how to stop this action and how to delete from the list ? Is it a registry job? (I have service pack 1 installed. Thanks. (sorry if this should be in graphics section)

are you putting all your pictures in the "My Pictures" folder in My Documents?

Not if you don't want it in your list. I keep my potential wallpapers in a seperate directory.

if you want to delete any wallpaper search for it with Search ( type a name of a wallpapers) most of them are in Windows directory.

whatever you add to the "my Pictures" folder will be added to wallpaper list
