Automated System Recovery not working

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my system at this moment but after reading other's posts with "spontaneous" issues, I feel as though I had better get myself ready in the occasion that the unspeakable does happen. So I went to Backup and then ASR wizard and I go to click finish, stuff loads, and an error message keeps coming up before the wizard can actually begin. The vague message: The files for the recovery diskette could not be created. The operation was aborted. There is no explanation and I am clueless why this isn't working. I have backed things up before on my drives using Backup, so I am wondering if anyone has ever experienced this and if anyone might have a clue what can be done to rectify it.

--Thanks a bunch--

I do. I just want to be able to utilize all of the tools given to me. I have system restore for my main drive and a backup on cd but it would be nice to get ASR working.

Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.

If you want tools use Norton Ghost that should be able to sort out backing up your drives to CD. Including c: as the restore has been known to fail.
By the way I cannot get mine working either, No doubt Microsoft will bring out a patch in the near future if there is'nt 1 already.
