I want to have a password on my user account, but i want it to automatically log in when i turn on the computer. This happens when it has no password, but how do you do it when it has a password? I have done this in Win2K but i dont know how in XP.

I use MagicTweak to help with this. As well as letting you set a p/word with auto login you can tweak a host of other features in XP

See how this goes:

* Go to Start/Run, and type 'control userpasswords2'.
* From Users Tab, Uncheck "Users must enter ...."
* A dialog will allow setting a user and password to be used automatically.

Well I just tried the above because after installing Microsoft .NET I have to log on everytime. It would not continue loading windows. I had to go into safe mode, change it back & now it is OK once more. Guess I'll just have to get use to logging on everytime.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
