I recently replaced my hard drive and re-installed WinXP Pro on my new one. Now whenever I boot up, it automatically logs into my acount rather than going to the welcome screen and requesting a password. Any help on how to fix this?
Som things to note that may or may not be useful in figuring this one out. I was getting NTLDR missing error when I tried to load XP straight from the boot disk, so to get around this, I loaded Win2000 Pro first, then upgraded to XP.
Also, I do have other user accounts set up on XP as well as having Welcome Screen and Fast Switching enabled on log on/log off options. It works if I want to switch users or log off, but if I do a complete cold or warm reboot, that is when it automatically logs me in.
This one sounds like it would be so easy to fix, but it is driving me crazy. Any help is greatly appreciated.
