Internet Explorer used ask me if I wanted to disconnect when I closed the program down. However, I must have selected the check box not to prompt me again, so now it keeps my connection open.

How do I get it so that it will prompt me to disconnect when I close IE?

Thanks.

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections tab/Settings button/Advanced button and tick the box "Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed". Then exit using the OK buttons and the Apply button, if available.

Thanks for your help.

I guessed it was something fairly simple, but must have been blind when I was originally looking!

Sometimes the brain just refuses to work, melliott 1963, does it not. It's a pity we can't download a patch for it. :D Glad to help.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
