autconnecting dialup

i'm sure there was a post in here but after looking through all 7 pages couldnt find it....

when the client machine is on, my modem on the host machine starts dialling
i figured its msn msger' so i asid cancel sign in and disconnected the modem
minute later i go into start menu.... starts dialling again

basically i dont want it autodialling
how can i stop this?
at the same time i dont want to stop control from the client machine in the dialup account as i want it to have full control over it

Have you checked the mail program on the client isnt set to check for mail messages ?

Thanks for the reply, ive managed to solve it.

It was in network connections>dialup account>properties>advanced>
something like establish a connectin when a network computer needs it or something

overlooked it many times
so glad though!

btw.. it wasnt just mail. i could close it and it would still happen.
scary thought that whe nothings open, it >needs< the internet
ms spyware???
