what happens if i try to put data on a cd-r that says audio only? and while i am asking this i wanna also ask why do they make "Audio ONly" cds?

It really should not matter, I think they put that there for marketing, all your doing is burning 0's, and 1's so I don't see how or why it would matter what info. you decide to burn to the disk. You should have no problem burning to the CD. Like I said they prob. just put that there so you don't try burn a prog. or movie, and make you go buy more cd-r:D

As vdub said you can write anything data or audio to CD-Rs, it is labelled Audio Only for people that have a CD burner on there Hifi, not PC.

But for us PC users we can use any :D

I had some audio only cd's. burnt data on the fine. although they do show up as audio cd's in windows, but you can still access all the data on it.

ya the audio only cdrs were meant for settop cd recorders.......
dunno anybody that uses those as a pc burner is much more flexible.

wasnt it philips that had commercials for those?

lol looked at your pic after posting...:)
arent those more expensive as well.......

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
