I just bought an asus 440mx-se and I can't get it to work on my a7n8x dlx . There is no signal from the card to either vga monitor, or through a component out AV cable. I am taking the card back but, is it going to be the card, or could it be the mobo or something else. This is the first time I have turned it on. The red light on the mobo isnt on, but the comp boots and doesn't beep for post (Think that is HDD).

Thanks

James

make sure the agp8x setting is disabled in your bios. also, remove and re-insert the video card a few times. sometimes it doesn't get a good connection the first time in.

I have tried that and it doesnt work. Think it is the cpu. Going to buy a new one tomorrow and see.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
