asf files regarding fast forwarding and rewinding

I'm using Windows media player and i seem to have trouble fast fowarding and rewinding. Is there a patch i can get or a different player that has the feature of RW/FF??

To my knowledge, you can only fast forward or rewind while playing an asf file, if the file is the FULL encoded asf file, i.e., you d/l a 300MB asf file, but only really get 299.9MB, you won't be able to "scoot" through the movie.

That's what I've learned from past experience, unless I've completely missed something, then please do tell anyone 🙂
