ASF File question please help

Hi guys

I have an ASF file in my computer. Everytime I run it, I can't skip to other places with the time line (like in wmp), and I can just stream it from the beginning to the end.

Any help with making the skipping option to work?

Could try converting it to an mpeg file

Windows media player won't let you skip from place to place unless the "server" you are downloading it from supports streaming. As far as it is concerned you hard disk is a "server" that doesn't support streaming.
