well they each serve their purpose. flash is a vector based tool while photoshop is bitmap

for animated banner/sig could always do with .gif tool
or for flash swish is good, if you don't want to learn action script and coding in flash mx

Sounds like swish would be good for me to start with.Is that the full name of the product spikemic?Who makes it?(there seems to be so many with similiar names.)Thanks!
