Applications you run.

If you want to find out all the programs you use open a dos window, go to your root directory

CD\

then type

dir *.exe /s/w >myprogs.txt

Open the file with wordpad (it will probably be too big for notepad). Note the /w produces a condensed directory listing. The /s tells it to read all the subdirectories and the > is an output redirection from the display to a file so you can browse them at your leisure. Note this is 1000's of times faster than a windows search.

I'd post my results but it's over 100kB.

On the amusing side AVG turned up a trojan in my_documents when I first tried the windows search tool. I'll be away for a while doing multiple virus scans.

Not exactly, that will list every executable on the machine. While those indeed are programs, I think we are looking for individual suites, not the 10's of .exe's included with Office for example

interesting, do you connect to a work citrix server? or do you have your own. I have to configure this alot in work. Quite a handy program.

I am running Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 4.0 on my network at work (much improved over previous versions).

Sazar, not only did I mention it I put my list in alphabetical order!

Yeah, but my way will scare you ****less when you see how many programs you never heard of are on the machine. ;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
