I have something that is restarting my PC when it likes, the only trace I can find of it is in the error log for applications and the file it gives is "PctSpk"
Has anyone any ideas what it is because I have run out of ideas.

Hi!

MAde a little search with Google and find that pctspk is a modem driver. Also find some other sites that was talking about that pctspk.exe was using 100% CPU time.

Tell us a bit more about the problem, when it happends, what kind of setup you have and so on and we will try to help you the best we can.

The reboot can happen at any time and is not connected to anyone action. it's done it 3 times today, 9.55, 11.57 & 15.00.
Other days it might not do it at all. The modem is only in use as a backup as I am on broadband for the internet.

Can you not uninstall the modem for a while to see if the problem still happens.

Have you done a virus scan.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
