apache modem problem

I bought a new modem apache....
model : sp92-usb

installed the driver... (RiGHT DRiVER)

however when I try to use it it calls the number slowly ( I didn't understand why its so slow) then while connecting, I mean while I hear these odd sounds the connection cuts gives the error that remote computer does not answer...

BUT;

then I installed win ME and tried to connect, unfortunately it has connected with no problems... it also calls the number really fast...


WHATS THE PROBLEM WiTH XP? anyone can help me?

Crappy drivers? Happened to me more than once with USB modems (not exacly this but problems anyway).

I never had the same problem as you but other problems. What you can do is:

1. Get new XP drivers if there are any.
2. Wait for new drivers.
3. Get a new modem.
