AOL blocks Trillian IM access
It's probably not the last we'll see of these IM companies do this. It should be a nice upgrade war between Trillian and the IM companies

Trillian is on the right tracks, but AOL sucks anyway and it posts hotmail passwords in URLs etc when checking your mail, If find original programs are best, aslong as they minimise to the sys-tray i dont care....

I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I can help. I was having the same problem with AOL blocking Trillian. When running Trillian, I could see my "Buddies" when the were logged in, but was unable to IM them or receive IMs from them. If they IMed me, it would popup on the AOL IM (which I hate). So, I made up a new AOL screen name and I sign on using it. Then I start Trillian, which is using the "original AOL screen name" and it works fine. Hope this works for you.😀
