AOL 7.0 DSL with XP Home

I'm using Creative's Broadband Blaster 8012U DSL modem with AOL 7.0. I'm able to install the modem, the computer sees it as connected, my DSL line is active yet AOL still doesn't see the modem as installed. I have spent over 7 hours on the phone with AOL tech support only to uninstall and reinstall over and over and over. If anyone has encountered this and found a solution please let me know. I'd really rather not take half a day off work for an AOL tech to come to my house!

System:
Dell 8200 running XP home
P4 2.52g processor
512m RAM

nevermind

It turned out to be the Downstram Attenuation was at 0 meaning it was on the phone company's end. AOL home tech said it would be resolved within 3 to 5 days.

hmmmm, seems like one of the AOL techs could have told me that over the phone on day one instead of sending a tech to my apartment to tell me.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
