Anyone know a good network messanger?

I know I can use ICQ and all the others but I want one of those that makes a message in a normal Windows window. I would also like it to not write the name of the computer where the message came from.

the built in one send the pc name as well. you can make error boxes apare on a nother pc, but the rules of the froum forbid me from giving out that info. , sorry dude looks like you will have to do a google and find out that way.

I use winchat with my lan-mates ..
Start / run / winchat

net send <DESTINATION IP> <MESSAGE>

NetRyder, Ive tried that and it told me that the message was sent successfuly but the other computer didnt get anything. Am I missing something here? Hows this supposed to work?

my dad doesnt know anything about computers, everytime he needs to use microsoft word he calls me and asks me a bunch of questions (i.e. how to copy and paste stuff).

but, I might have disabled it on his computer, ill have to check.

does it make a difference if Im sending from Win XP to Win 98 SE?
