I completed it cuz I loff you guys and I wanted to check out the webmonkey interface.

It is always interesting to me how people formulate survey questions.

I got it was well. Done nothing with it as like BouncingSoul said it struck me as spam

Punk is too lazy to bother with any survey :p probebly spam.

Ok Chastity PMed me the contents of the mail and to be honest I do remember recieving a similar email a few weeks ago which I admittedly did dismiss as junkmail, but it seems the guy is a little more persistant.

I'll PM him and ask him to stop and perhaps post a generic link in here (although I don't know how that relates to winning the $50 but I do vaguely remember that the winner would be picked from the group who took the osnn survey)

I don't really want member to be PMed.

I just got one also - I don't usually trust those young college lads!

Well hopefully he will post in here about what it is, obviously if you don't want to do it don't but hopefully the PMs will stop soon :)

Yes, the survey is legit!

Thank you to those who have responded to my survey invitation and those who expressed interest in it. Here's a copy of the invitation for registered members to complete the survey:

I'm running a study to complete my doctorate in Information Systems. The results will help researchers and people who run sites like OSNN Forum better understand the role of leadership in online groups.

Your help will help make this research possible. :) As compensation for time--about 10-15 minutes--you will have a chance to win a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate.

Click here for the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=IZLFwDqUWMpP24H1ytK4cQ_3d_3d

Everyone who completes a full survey response from this group will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate. I am running this survey at dozens of groups -- each with their own individual drawing.

Thank you!

I am in charge of the internet, that is all you need to know.

I didn't get one but I really do hate it when someone I don't know sends me survey requests and stuff in emails or pm's. The only reply they receive is a not very nice one

I both invented it, and am in charge of it. I have never released majority control.

How do you think I bring you things like Cookies, AND MILK!!!!!!

I sold some of my interweb rights to AOL when they got started, after all, we needed some comic relief on the web.

well ... I probably shouldn't have responded to the survey request just because I think it was inappropriate for the message board.

But as a grad student myself, I felt a bit of sympathy ... and I did want to play with webmonkey ... and I got to say nice things about three of the board leaders :)

and ... to the guy's credit, he gave reps, which makes it all ok :)

Thank you again to everyone who has responded. I just about have enough responses from this group to make it a "complete" group.

I received a question via PM I thought I ought to answer to the group in general. If you live outside of the US and are lucky enough to win the drawing I will gladly -- if you prefer -- issue the winning prize in local currency equivalent at Amazon.uk, Amazon.jp, etc. My budget is limited to $50 (USD) per group, but I'll be glad to accommodate a non-US winner as best I can.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
