any way to keep start menu from poping up?

when ever some one messages me or a program loads or any thing happens in aother program, im not currently using, the start menu pops up, is there a way to change it so that it stays down while on auto hide? gpedit or registry or any thing? even a crack for it? thanks for any help! please reply

In TweakUI (Powertoys), go to General|Focus - make sure it's set to "Prevent applications from stealing focus"

Don't know if that'll do it but it's worth a shot... 🙂
