Any suggestions to make my computer a little faster??

I got a fast computer and everything...But ya no..Does anyone have any suggestions, except formatting (cuz I just did), to speed up my computer???

On another site we were asked to post our top five performance tweaks. These were mine:

) Ram - more is better

2) Do a FRESH install of XP & make sure the paging file is properly set

3) Get a broadband connection

4) Leave well enough alone - XP runs just fine out of the box

5) See #4

whats yer sys specs?

there is a forum link on the front page that shows you how to speed the puter up by turning off some dumb things that you never use on your PC... so you can check that out and see if that helps any... it has to do with winxp...

post yer specs and someone can help you out with speeding up[ winxp... rmeember to just browse around the site... lots of little tidbits to speed little things up...
