Need to clear a virus via bootable disks, what the best way of doing this, dont mind buying software to do it but free is best of course :D

can any 1 suggest the best way of doing this

cheers

You can stick F-Prot for DOS on a bootable CD. It wont however all fit on one floppy so you would need to split it over two disks then copy it onto the hdd.

Again, I'm going to pimp Bart's site:
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder

With his tools you can create a bootable CD or DVD and include the latest version of Ad-Aware, McAfee Virus Scan and McAfee Stinger. You can even include Nero 5 or Nero 6.

Boot from this CD and check for Virii or Spyware. It's a very handy CD to have lying around. It supports networking, has a web browser, etc. etc.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
