I remember reading somewhere that you can alter email links in webpages so that Email gathering Spam robots either cant detect them or cant read them. Does anyone know how to do this, and can you tell me as well

thnx

I remember something about this, I think it might be along the lines of
PHP:
href="mailto:name&#isp.com"

Where the "& #" is equal to @. I'm not too sure though, that might not do much, there might be better ways. :)

EDIT: Had to use php instead of code cos it couldn't interpret the ampersand+hash :)

There are possibly other methods, but I've only ever seen people add "nospam" or something like that to their email address or just use plain text (which is what i always do) ie: user {at} domain {dot} com

hehe, I figured out how it works, it converts the letters to ASCII codes, so geffy would be

gahhh vBulletin converts the ascii characters as well, damn it, quote me to see what it should be

basically it is &# followed by the code g = 103 terminated with a ;

its a good thing I got a copy of the ascii tables as part of my programming course :p

I think I might write a program to do this for me, good bit of practice.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
