Hi Guys,

I have a situation with a friend's machine. With a fresh Win2000Pro install, I used my friend's name as a no password logon upon bootup. Since then, logged on as a username, we went into the ControlPanel->Username and Passwords, and added a password to my friend's username. We have not been able to logon using my friend's name/password (Error: wrong username/password/domain. It is a standalone machine). We have been only able to logon as "Administrator" (No password). I am stumped as to why we cannot logon, considering we created the password and tried relogging on right after. Using the Admin logon, what/how can I fix this setup?

Thanks in advance,

Heeter

Anyone able to help me?

Thanks again,

Heeter

have you tried loging on as admin, deleted and then adding the username again, why do you even want another user account if its just a standalone pc?

Thanks, Lancer, will try that. This is actually a friend's machine, and his mother-in-law lives with him and his wife. Enough said, LOLOL..

Thanks, Mooo

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
