On my current 40gig I have a partition of like 10gigs with progs and OS, and the remaining is just files and music. When I install my new 120gig today is there a way for me to just move my Windows from the 40 to the 120? Like using Ghost, Powerquest Drive or something. Or do I have to reinstall.? I'm trying to avoid reinstalling if possible. Thanks in advance.

Powerquest Drivecopy or Symantec's NortonGhost will do it ;)
No need for re-install :D
If you're only moving the Windows parition not imaging the whole drive,
then ensure your partitions have the same drive letters as were previously assigned.
That way no paths get mucked up.
You can do this in the disk management console snap-in.

If you're using XP you can use the files and settings transfer wizard program included.

sorry about the dbl post...I don't really know how that happened.

I see you've posted this twice lol.
I am guessing this was a mistake? :p :)
An admin/mod will probably merge the 2 threads. ;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
