Ive got this motherboard that has an AMD 761 chipset, and have a Amd Athlon XP 2400+ lying around. The chipset says that it can support AMD Athlon/Duron ~ 1.33ghz, and future 200mhz/266mhz Athlon XP processors. It supports DDR200/266 memory. Since the 2400+ (2.0ghz) is a 266FSB processor, it should work right?

have you tried checking the website for the motherboard manufacturer? usually they have a CPU support list for each motherboard.

i think mine is an Epox or something rather - though before i did a general search and none of the manufacturers (Asus etc) had any support list.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
