Yeah rebates spoils that plan. Unless they are instant they aren't worth the trouble.

For that much money I would jump through flaming hoops!

Mail in rebates are something that in this day and age shouldn't be, I'm not going to give them my $ to encourage them. That and you only have a 25% of actually getting your $, some day.

I've never had a rebate check that didn't show up, and I roll around in rebates on a daily basis because I use them so much.

Just follow the directions, fill out the form correctly, don't trust a rebate from a website you've never heard of, and use correct postage.

It's a good deal by far if you can handel the low res. The rebates will take a while to get to you but look at it as money in savings pluss you can turn around an resell the thing on ebay to 250-300 on prob.
I say take a chance and go for it to all who have cash in hand.
