Am I crazy?

This week I bought an MP3 player, but as it turns out I'm going to be using it as a WMA player. Since WMAs sound as good and are much smaller I decided: why not?

So now I have undertaken the task of properly tagging and naming my MP3's before I convert them all to WMA's. Am I crazy to care this much about this?

Not all MP3 players can play WMA's. And id spend some time roughly tagging my songs regardless of MP3 or WMA. It doesnt matter if you do it before or after you can edit the info later anyway.

Not crazy. I am one of those odd people who retag all mp3s to be sure they are all uniform. All words start with a capital, remix info is in brackets, etc. I have spent a lot of time fixing tags.

I figured you were one of us. It is a sickness. A buddy of mine was watching me go through about 500 mp3s one day "fixing" all the tags. He just shook his head and went off to do something...

Not a case about caring it's a case of being uniform. I don't mind mess, I think it's the sensible move for back-up purposes. Let Media player tag em for you, I do, saves a heap of time.

It's the only way to go!! (with cover art obviously )

Keep the mp3's.
1) WMA is not nearly as good a format as mp3 http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21904

2) converting from one lossy format to another is gonna lose alot of quality.
