She says, “Standard cosmology cannot explain such a giant cosmic hole” and goes further with the ground-breaking hypothesis that the huge void is “… the unmistakable imprint of another universe beyond the edge of our own“.

I have my own theory which has nothing to do with an "alternate universe"
I believe a better explanation for this void would be that it is the center of the big bang
