I have a question for any DeLL users. I get a message prior to BIOS bootup when I reboot or freshboot saying "ALERT! The cover has been opened" or something like that. I know it was opened. I opened it to add RAM. Anyone know how to get rid of this message?

thanks

It's something like "case cover opened warning" in the BIOS and you should be able to turn it off.

Yea, thats a feature designed for businesses/schools. It can be disabled in the BIOS. It was deisgned to prevent tampering. The Dells at my school lock with the CMOS password if you open them. Keeps students from messing them up. That can also be enbled/disabled via the BIOS.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
