AGp on PCI BUS??

XP says my AGP graphics card is on PCI bus 1??
Also 3dMark2001SE reports that Only AGP 1x and 2x are supported when i know the mobo and graphics card are 4x as they were in win98.

In windows 98 3Dmark 2001 gave 3800 points
win XP and 3Dmark2001SE only give 1800
Anyone know about this prob

Not sure about the rest but PCI slot 1 should be ok as I think AGP is a specially modified type of PCI slot.Are you sure the GeForce2 is AGP 4x ?

yes it was in windows 98 and just to make sure i wasnt imagining it i went to the nvidia website to check, i wasnt dreaming

I used the Geforce tweak utility and my graphics card is running in 4x mode now..


Still dont know what caused it, maybe microsoft want people to think they need to update bits!! They might get a cut of every graphics card sold! or am i just paranoid lol
