are there any windows files i can manually edit or any programs out there that will let me change the highlight and shadow colors of the classic windows style..?

you've always been able to change the colors in appearance, but it automatically chooses a highlight and shadow color for the bevel effects... I would like to be able to manually choose these somehow so i could make a completly flat, monochrome'ish version of windows (even making icons monochrome).. which would also effect every non-skinned application which uses the standard colors from windows.. (hopefully)

i guess i could just make a custom skin to do this, but i'd rather do it without any skins involved, similar to how CSS changes scrollbars in IE.!

any ideas?

i want to destroy the bevels!!! :)

*hits self* duh i figured it out... didnt think it would be that simple.

its all specifically set in C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\windows classic.theme

(the highlights, shadows, darkshadow.. etc)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
