ADSL connecting to Analogue modem

Can an ADSL modem dial and connect to an analogue 56k modem? The reason I ask is for use with PCAnywhere.

Thanks.

actually you're wrong.technically you can if the 56k modem can get to the net then you connect via IP address. TCP/IP is TCP/IP regardless how you connect to the net.

But then you're not dialing the modem are you? Then you're just connecting over the net. Which is not what he asked for (pretty sure anyway).

Zedric is correct. I was asking about dialling from one to the other, not through the internet. I thought it wouldn't work. I knew ISDN modems couldn't talk to analogue ones and guessed that broadband modems couldn't too, but I just needed confirmation.

Thanks.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
