ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7.0 Help?

This is my first time actually interested in any graphics program, can anyone direct me to a site that tells me what the various tools do, or maybe someone has some kind of a PDF document that can be used as a guide, maybe someone can direct me to a website that has some examples of photoshop pics ?
