can someone tell me the proper way to make sure i'm signed on as administrator, when i try alt/ctrl/del it tells me task manager has been disabled by administrator -i would like to reverse this
thanks in advance

to sign on as adminstrator without going into safe mode

log off

at the logon screen press ctrl/alt then del twice

now you need to type Administrator & the password

there is a setting for disabling the tskmanager in gpedit.msc
start / run - gpedit.msc
user configuration / admin templates / system / ctrl/alt/del/ options

it could be that ?????

i checked and i'm signed on as computer adminestrator & it won't thet me in gpedit.msc and i made sure it is typed exactly.
anything else i can try?

sorry forgot to mention that gpedit, msc is only available for XP pro

have you tried a system restore ??

i have used that before ,it's strange just one it said task manager disabled by administrator and i did nothing that i know of

could be something wrong XP ???

maybe a repair install might solve the problem

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
