Administrator restricted

I am logged in as computer administrator but when I click Tools > Internet Options in IE, it says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." What's up with that?

I've heard a few people complain that this is the result of one of the settings in spybot (to prevent browser hijacking). Under "Immunize", there are three check boxes (they're all unchecked on my computer.) Could this be the case?

Sounds like group policy is in effect. You might want to have a look in there.

This might be it. If you have this key, delete it. BACKUP IT UP FIRST! I'm not responsible for your computer.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions
"NoBrowserOptions"=dword:00000001

No, I don't think that Microsoft article I was going to post will help you. Try deleting that registry key I pointed out above.

try running spybot and adaware as well incase it's a browser hijack.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
