Adding web items

When I try to add a web item to my d-top my background and icons go screwey (ie: the background pic quality is much worse, and the shadow dropping effect on icons no longer works). Anyone know how to retain this settings while adding a web-item. (and i did make sure they were still changed in props>appearance>advanced)

Sorry, there is no way around this. You will need to convert the icons to gif or jpg format to keep the color....
