I have WinXP running on my primary IDE (using NTFS) and Win 98 on the secondary IDE (using FAT32). I have some free space on the primary IDE and want to know if I can install Redhat 8.0 or SuSE 8.1 with some degree of confidence that it's boot loader will automatically add both versions of Windows to the Boot Menu.

I had a problem with Redhat 7.2 some time ago when I was attempting to dual boot with Win98. Redhat installed okay and added an entry for Win98 to it's boot menu but every time I tried to boot into Win98 I sat there looking at a blank screen! I could boot into Redhat and it worked okay but no Windows.

Thanks, Alan

Yes, SuSE Linux will see both partitions/HDD and will add
the respective names to the Linux bootloader.
You can even name the OS systems you're running and will even do a non-destructive repartioning if Linux needs more space.

I'm running SuSE Linux since version 5.3 and it has improved with 400 %

suse looks interesting. i almost bought it the other day at best buy, but since you can just d/l it free from http://www.linuxiso.org/, i didn't. of course you don't get handy manuals or anything, but hey, it's free.

i'm currently using mandrake 9.0 and redhat 8.0.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
