just did my automatic reflist, (this free program keeps your adaware up to date, if you don't have it, get it).

after the new reflist, adaware gound 245 new entries!!!!!

I backed up my registry, of course, deleted them all, no probleema...go update

Whoa. Now ad-aware sees Download Accelerator Plus as ad-ware or spyware! I love that program. I'm sure they only see it as spyware because of how it shows ads in the download boxes in the unregistered version. Don't delete DAP! wow how did you get 245 entries though?

star downloader free is as good as download accelerator plus...the link for star is posted on "great free programs"...you'll love that program

250 entries is an awful lot dealer - I find it hard to believe it's all spyware. Be very careful before deleting anything you aren't 100% certain of.

When I did the ref update the other day it only caught one item (comet cursor) - unless you download a dozen pieces questionable of sw every day, well, as I said....250 is a lot.

that's why I did a backup allan, so far, no problems, but download manager was a good number of these entries, AND THAT PTOGRAM IS UNINSTALEED FOR 4 MNTHS, INCLUDING REGISTRY CLEANED SINCE THEN !!!, anyway, star downloader has been a much better program for me, so nothing lost as far as I'm concerned.

BUT, AFTER A COUPLE OF RE-STARTS i'VE HAD TO RE-ACTIVATE XP !!! not a big deal, went very smooth, but I guess all those registry changes sent xp into hyper

ONCE AGAIN, BACKUP BEFORE YOU DELETE ALL THOSE DISSCOVERIES BY ADAWARE

Yea i did the same thing and got 241 peices of spyware.. so i backedup and deleted them and have had no problems since

I have the latestes ad-ware and ref file and when I scaned last night i only got 3 new things, just a couple of cookies and a reg entry and I use DAP, it didn't show up. Although could be becuase I disabled the adverts

first, you probably have the paid version of dap, and second, you're deffinately not downloading enough porn

If you have the Brilliant software that comes with Kazaa you will have about 250 entries associated with it, mostly registry entries.

Very good, make sure u are running KaZaA or what ever when u use Ad-Aware otherwise it will delete the Cy-door it needs to run.

This way it will remove everything except the component needed

You can replace the cydoor dll kazaa needs with a dummy file on this page.
