Active Desktop and Icon Text

Hi all

When I use the active desktop to put things such as the Google search on my desktop, the icon text is no longer transparent as it should be. Is there anyway round this?

My desktop can be seen here in order to show the problem I am having in more detail.

I'd be grateful for any help.

There is no way around this.

Best thing to do is convert the icons to images, and use them as links on an HTML page.

Then hide all your icons.
My desktop in the "January Desktops" thread shows you what I mean.
