Active Desktop and Icon Text Background

Hi, I'm sure this has been answered before, but I've looked and can't seem to find a solution for it. When I have Active Desktop on my icon text on the desktop no longer is transparent. It goes to the color selected in the background settings. I've read about turning off lock desktop web items, but that dosent work (besides the fact that it pretty much sucks to have any content on the desktop anyway if everytime you go near it it makes a box around it). I just want to know how to make my icons go back to having the transparency and possibly the shadows. Thanks

Change the color of your background.

Right click desktop
Properties
Desktop tab
Color

Select the color that closely matches the background color of your HTML document.

there are various programs for it.. i cant think of any off the top of my head :(

the problem with the box surrounding your content is because you have not locked it. right click on your desktop (not where the content is) go to arrange icons, and check lock web content.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
