I bought a new copy of xp home copy & I have it activated on my machine & now all copy’s that I had written down of the activation number are now gone .is there a way I can recover this?

You don't need too. It changes the next install. Once you format xp & reinstall just reactivate it again. Don't worry. I've done it heaps of times with no problems.

i think you misunderstood ,i lost the key that will let you install.

There is a utiity that lets you recover that key out of your installation (assuming you have a working OS that used that key). Let me find it and attach it in a minute.

JJB

Note to the other trigger-happy mods: This program only reads the CD Key you used for installation out of the registry. It is NOT a keygen, nor can be used to make or find keys other then the one installed on your system. Use is perfectly legal on your own machine.

this isnt illegal, but it can definitly be used for bad purposes.

j/p :D

write your keys down someplace safe... those booklets and cd cases have a weird habit of just vanishing :)

yeah...its usually a good ideal to keep the cd case it comes with...considering the CD KEY is on the back side....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm LOL

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
